Friends & invites — friends lists surface who's online; invites pull them into the session without lobby browsing.
Session persistence — progress, unlocks and mission state in room/player data outlive disconnects and resumed sessions.
Live sync — position and state updates ride the UDP fast lane; room events and phase changes ride the reliable WebSocket channel.
Drop-in resilience — session tokens let a disconnected player rejoin the same room and catch up on state.
